NAT-2 SS20 collection at NEONYT Berlin
Last week the Berlin Fashion Week took place in Berlin. Neonyt was also organised, the fashion fair when it comes to sustainability and innovation!
Sneaky Panda already got a glimpse of what the latest sustainable brands are doing. Especially our friends from Nat-2: Sebastian Thies and his father Matthias Thies. Nat-2 brings the most innovative shoes of the moment and is the brand to keep an eye on. Founder and designer Sebastian is a descendant of one of the oldest shoe manufacturers in Europe; he represents the 6th generation of shoemakers.
In 2016, Nat-2 introduced the world’s first vegan sneakers made of wood. Vegan sneakers made from recycled coffee, grass and mushrooms, combined with recycled PET bottles and glass, soon followed. All fair and handmade in Italy. And Sebastian had informed us in advance that he would be showing several new models at Neonyt.
The sneakers were presented in a huge 3-D printed jungle, containing different plants with an automatic watering system. In between, the latest models were presented. Sneakers made of paper (and yes, they are waterproof), moss, recycled glass, rose petals, leaves and flowers with Swarovski stones: wow!
The most remarkable showpiece: the sneaker made of marijuana, made in combination with an olive-green material of recycled glass. Amazing!
The fact that Sneaky Panda, as the exclusive partner of Nat-2, can offer this brand, makes us as sneaker lovers more than proud.
For the new models we unfortunately have to wait a little longer: these will only be available in the spring of 2020.
